I always get asked, "so, where do the blades go?" I have you know, there actually is a spot for the blades. The tall center tube in the middle has an opening at the top, essentially making this a very thin box with extravagant decor that wraps around it.
The idea was to showcase the ascent from hell to heaven, depicted by the broken sharp shards on the bottom that morph into curvy, smooth paths on the way up.
